Western Bay Spraying LTD is a family-owned and operated kiwifruit spraying contractor working in the wider Katikati area. We operate four modern Atom spray machines for conventional canopy and shelterbelt spraying, and a tractor-tow behind for organics. We also operate a Kawasaki Mule set up for weed strip and loadout herbicide requirements.
We offer a wide range of horticulture services including canopy (both organic & conventional), shelterbelt and weed strip spraying, mulching and mowing, application of liquid and solid fertilizer as well as ground hogging.
We can also assist you with your kiwifruit transport needs from your loadout to packhouse during the harvest.
Our machines are equipped with Trackmap GPS (now Tabula) units for accurate product placement. It also ensures overlapping and missing of blocks are avoided, even with multiple machines in the same orchard. This is especially helpful during night sprays. The GPS units also provide the operator with information such as row width, hazards, filling station location among other important elements for a more efficient job. We can also track the machines/staff on external devices to ensure high levels of health & safety are maintained even when operators are out by themselves.
